  • The D2 is designed to incentivise emerging entrepreneurs to settle in Portugal and start an innovative enterprise in Portugal. In order to be eligible to apply for the D2 visa, you’ll need to seek for professional consultant/lawyer to have an innovative or original idea and solid business plan, along with some nominal capitalization.

  • The D7 is the Portuguese visa category for retirement or passive income applicants who can prove sufficient income (and ideally passive income) sourced from outside Portugal.

  • No. For Residency Visa (D2, D7, D6 and D8), you have to apply at your home residence.
